Common Edible & Medicinal Mushrooms of the DMV

All mushrooms are edible… some are only edible once!
Come learn about common edible and medicinal mushrooms commonly found in our area from fellow forager April Thompson, and former VP of the Mycological Association of Washington. She will walk us through important characteristics of mushrooms and tools to help safely identify them, tell us about some of the most common wild edibles we can find this time of year, and then take us on a walk where we test our powers of observation and iNaturalist skills to identify fungi we encounter en route.
